Who Is Johnna Rhone? Jefferson Middle School Teacher Arrested Over False Threats

After a huge threat was made against the middle school, a teacher at Jefferson Middle School in St. Clair Shores faces a charge of false report or threat of terrorism.

After being charged with making a false report or threatening terrorism in the 40th District Court in St. Clair Shores on Monday, a veteran Jefferson Middle School art teacher was ordered not to have any contact with the school.

Before Judge Joseph Oster, Johnna Rhone, 59, of Royal Oak, filed a not guilty plea during the court session. Her bond was set at $75,000 with a 10% surety bond.

Rhone did not comply with police after being arrested, according to police, and did not offer a statement. She cannot contact anyone from Jefferson Middle School if she is released on bond.

Who Is Johnna Rhone?

Johnna Rhone is 59 years old. 

As for her profession, she is an art teacher. She teaches at Jefferson Middle School in St. Clair Shores.

She has been involved with the school for over 21 years now.

Details on Jefferson Middle School Teacher Arrested Over False Threats 

Police and school officials say she was caught on a security camera inserting three handwritten messages under the doors of a classroom. It was also at the library, and the media center on Friday.

Making a false complaint or threatening terrorism is a 20-year felony punishable by fines of up to $20,000 if convicted.

The classes did not have to be rescheduled. According to police sources, a search of her home turned up no guns or weapons.

Rhone must wear a GPS tether if she posts bond, and she will be placed under house arrest until she completes a psychological evaluation to see if she is a public danger and the results are made accessible to the court.

He also prohibited Rhone from interacting with Jefferson Middle School kids or employees.
